ABOUT AMY AS AN EDUCATOR

When I started trying to learn all of these new, “lived in” trends a handful of years ago, I was so lost. I was so far behind in my continuing education and I had no idea what I was doing. So, I made it my top priority to find ANY education I could, and realized that nothing beat the feeling of learning something and having that “aha!!” moment where I fully understood the “why” behind it, and not just the “how.” Because when you fully understand the “why” behind a  technique, that’s when the door opens up, and you are able to fully understand the concept as a whole, and are able to tweak it and make it your own! 

 

That’s why now, as an educator myself, my classes are very easy going but also super interactive. I strongly encourage questions and connection! I am relentless in making sure everyone is on the same page and that there aren’t any burning questions left unanswered before everyone leaves for the day. 

 

Being an educator is so special because it puts you in a position to impact, empower, and change lives by helping other gain the tools they need to better themselves and their career. To be someone who gets to spend time connecting with people and helping them gain more self-confidence is one of the best feelings in the world!
